We ask that if you feel sick or show any symptoms to please stay home. We will not be penalizing cancelations due to feeling ill, we kindly ask that you provide us with this information as soon as possible so that we can adjust our schedules accordingly and open up your timeslot to another client waiting.



We ask that clients wears a disposable or re-usable mask (preferably one that loops to your ears) which you will be required to wear for the duration of your service. If you do not have a mask, we can provide one for a small fee ($1.00). Supplies will be very limited, so we do ask that you bring your own. If you have a health condition that makes wearing a mask difficult, please contact us to book your appointment and we will make accommodations for you to have a private appointment.



  • Doors and other high traffic touch points will be routinely sanitized.

  • All equipment and tools used by the stylist will be disinfectant before and between each client.



  • Hand sanitizer station is available for use which is located at the entrance for anyone who comes in and leave the salon.

  • Soap and paper towels are available for use in the restroom.



  • Plexiglass shields have been installed for additional protection.

  • Magazines and other reading material have been removed and are not available as per OPH guidelines.

  • All towels, capes and any other soft materials used on a guest during their visit will be either machine washed after each use or disposed of in the garbage where applicable.

  • Proper personal protective equipment is worn at all times to ensure everyone safety.

Please respect other clients’ time by arriving on time to avoid delaying other scheduled appointments.  Late arrival may result in customizing your service to fit the remaining appointment time and full price of the services reserved will still apply. 



We understand that things can come up and we value your time and we hope you appreciate ours too.  As a courtesy, please provide a minimum of 24 hours notice for any rescheduling or cancellation of appointments. In case of a no show or missed appointment, there will be a 50% charge applied to your next visit and future bookings will have to be secured with a credit card or e-transfer to



Due to the high cost of product and time, all services over $200 (before tax) will need a 50% non-refundable deposit either during a consultation, or prior to the service being performed.



All pricing is subject to change without notice.



We accept Visa, MasterCard, Cash, Debit/Interac.  Unfortunately, we do not accept American Express or Cheques. Please keep in mind our only method to accept gratuity at this moment is cash or e-transfer.


Gift cards are perfect for anyone on any occasion. Our gift cards can be used toward any salon service and for purchase of any products. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash, not transferable, may not be returned, may not be redeemed for cash and not valid towards the purchase of another gift card. Concepts Hair Salon is not responsible for lost or stolen cards.



There is paid parking around the studio but please note the parking restrictions below. We recommend downloading the app on your phone called “Pay by Phone” in advance and note the pay station number after you pay for parking. Please check your Booking Confirmation email for the duration of your booked service(s) to ensure you avoid any by-law parking tickets.

For appointments less than 2 hours:

Paid street parking surrounding the studio for a maximum of 2 hours only. Rates are $3.50/hr Monday to Friday. Free parking is available after 5:30pm and weekends.


For appointments longer than 2 hours:

Please park at the City of Ottawa Preston parking lot on 301 Preston Street. It will be a 5 minute walk to our studio. Rates are $9 all day or $2/hr Monday to Friday. Free parking is available after 5:30pm and $2 all day on weekends.
